Dear Distinguished Guests, Colleagues, and Friends,
On behalf of the Taiwan Pancreas Society and the Therapeutic and Research Center of Pancreatic Cancer at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, it is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the International Forum of Multimodality Treatment for Pancreatic Cancer (MTPC 2026), to be held on August 22–23, 2026, in Taipei, Taiwan.
Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most challenging malignancies worldwide. Despite remarkable advances in surgical techniques, systemic therapies, radiation oncology, molecular diagnostics, and precision medicine, significant challenges persist in improving patient outcomes. The complexity of pancreatic cancer demands a truly multidisciplinary approach that integrates expertise from surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, pathology, radiology, translational research, and supportive care.
MTPC 2026 has been designed as a platform for leading experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge, share innovative ideas, and discuss the latest developments in multimodality treatment strategies for pancreatic cancer. Through scientific lectures, panel discussions, and interactive exchanges, we hope to foster international collaboration and inspire new approaches that will ultimately benefit our patients.
We are particularly honored to welcome an outstanding faculty of internationally renowned specialists who have made significant contributions to pancreatic cancer research and clinical practice. Their expertise and insights will undoubtedly enrich the scientific program and stimulate meaningful discussions throughout the forum.
Beyond the academic program, we invite you to experience the warmth and hospitality of Taiwan. As the political, economic, and cultural center of Taiwan, Taipei is a vibrant and modern city where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously, offering visitors a unique and memorable experience.
We sincerely appreciate your participation and support. We look forward to welcoming you to Taipei Veterans General Hospital and to sharing two days of fruitful scientific exchange, friendship, and collaboration as we work together toward advancing the care of patients with pancreatic cancer.
We are looking forward to seeing you at Taipei.
Sincerely yours,
Yi-Ming Shyr, MD, FACSPresident of MTPC 2026
